In 2024, I created and executive produced the Empowering BIPOC Artists event through Voices of Our Roots. This was a grant-funded event designed to amplify emerging Black and BIPOC artists while creating direct access to industry knowledge and mentorship.

Empowering BIPOC Artists
In 2024, I created and executive produced the Empowering BIPOC Artists event through Voices of Our Roots. This was a grant-funded event designed to amplify emerging Black and BIPOC artists while creating direct access to industry knowledge and mentorship.
The event featured seven emerging artists and hosted panel discussions with established industry leaders. Together, we created a space that balanced live artistic performance with professional development dialogue.

This initiative provided mentorship, professional guidance, and meaningful exposure opportunities for youth participants and emerging creatives. It also strengthened Voices of Our Roots as a sustainable platform for arts and community development. (We had over 50 people in attendance, all the performers got high quality photos and videos of their performances to use to advance their careers and portfolios.)
